BSM Track Updates . . . by John LaCosta
W
ednesday (3/24)
Warren Olt was Dispatcher with C Ben Bates, Charles Plantholt, James
Robertson and Harry Gesser as crew for two tour groups.
Saturday (4/3)
Ed Amrhein, David Crow, Rick Obbink and I repaired the overhead trolley wire
damage caused by the truck that backed into the line pole at the Highway
Yard. While we were up that end of the line we also replaced five pull off
insulators at 28th street loop.
After lunch Dennis Yeager, David and I continued trimming the trees along the
main line at 25th street.
Sunday (4/4)
Ed Amrhein was Dispatcher with Denis Falter and Carl Merson as crew. Given it
was Easter Sunday, there were a nice number of visitors. The PCC was removed
from service when on inspection it was noted that one of the torque arms on
the front truck was broken. This arm helps keep the axle housing from
rotating and keeps the axle spacing constant.
